What is a YETI tumbler?

A tumbler cup is a versatile drinking container that holds hot and cold beverages. At YETI, we’re proud of our tumblers, engineered to keep your beverages at the perfect temperature for hours on end. What is the difference between a YETI cup, a YETI tumbler and a YETI mug? 

All three designs are expertly engineered thermal, durable, stainless steel drinks containers. The main difference between the ranges are:

YETI Rambler® tumblers fit in a standard cup holder and most have the MAGSLIDER™ lid

Are YETI metal tumblers bad for you?

No, high-quality stainless steel is non-reactive, meaning it won’t leak chemicals or flavours into your drinks, even when exposed to hot liquids. Our tumblers are made from 18/8 stainless steel, which is safe for everyday use.

How long do YETI tumblers keep coffee hot and water cold?

At YETI, we craft our tumbler cups with double-wall vacuum insulation to keep your drinks at the perfect temperature for hours on end. Whether you're enjoying a hot cup of coffee, a hot chocolate or an ice-cold water, our tumblers are designed to lock in the heat or cold. Are YETI tumblers dishwasher safe?

Like the entire Rambler® Drinkware family, our YETI tumbler cups are completely dishwasher safe. We specifically design our drinkware to withstand the heat and pressure of dishwashers, making cleaning easy and convenient so you can enjoy more time outdoors.

Are YETI tumblers spill proof?

YETI tumblers are not completely spill-proof, but they are spill-resistant. Tumblers are great for all drinks on the go, but aren't meant to be packed as the lid will leak. YETI Bottles and their caps can create a leakproof seal but aren't meant for carbonated or perishable beverages.

What is the largest YETI tumbler?

Our largest classic tumbler is 887 ml (30 oz), with a small 10 oz, and medium 20 oz size also available. Each reusable tumbler cup with lid in our Rambler® range comes in several shapes and colours, and fits in just about any cupholder to make your on-the-go caffeine fix easier than ever. Our Rambler® tumblers come in three sizes:

Small - our 10 oz tumbler, provides a compact single cupful

Medium - our 20 oz tumblers, ideal for holding just over 2 cups of liquid

Large - our 30 oz, tumblers are designed to go the distance 

What is the best travel cup for commuting?

YETI travel cups come in a range of designs to suit different travel needs.

YETI tumblers and cups are perfect for journeys in the car - they’ll fit snugly into your cupholder and are designed to prevent splash outs

YETI mugs have handles so they’re perfect for handheld drinks

Which tumbler is the best for tea and coffee?

Any of our tumblers, cups and mugs without straw lid designs can be used for tea, coffee, hot chocolate or any hot drink that takes your fancy.

If you want to reuse your tumbler for different drinks, we recommend choosing a product with our DuraSip™ ceramic lining, which is specifically designed to prevent staining and is durable enough to take a tumble. Ceramic is a non-porous material that typically does not absorb flavour or taste with the correct product care. 

What is the best tumbler for the gym?

Any of the YETI tumblers can be the perfect go to for a workout - they’ll keep your water, energy drink or protein shake ice cold for hours. If you’re going for long sessions, the YETI 30 oz tumbler holds almost 1L of liquid, so you won’t need to keep topping up.
