FAQs about YETI® picnic & BBQ accessories

What YETI® accessories do I need for my BBQ?

Whether you’re grilling in your garden, a camping site or by a remote lake, there’s no room for BBQ gear that quits. To build a setup that won’t let you down, look no further than YETI picnic and BBQ accessories:

Seating: Our ergonomic, lightweight Trailhead® Field Chair is over-engineered with GroundGrip™ Feet and a quad-fold aluminium fold for premium comfort no matter the terrain. For a plush yet hardy and waterproof foundation for the rest of the crew, the Lowlands® Blanket is best.

Coolers: To lock in long-lasting iciness, you need a legendary cooler for BBQ storage. Go lightweight with a Hopper Flip® 12 Cool Bag, or choose indestructible capacity with the compact Roadie® 24 Cool Box or massive Tundra® 105 Cool Box. If you’re hauling heavy, grab one of our smooth-rolling options with NeverFlat™ wheels, like the Roadie® 60 Wheeled Cool Box or Tundra Haul® Wheeled Cool Box.

Food storage: When you’re managing a full BBQ pack of meat and sides, you need a guarantee that everything stays where it’s put. Our YETI® Food Storage containers are tough, stackable and leakproof.

Drinkware & serving: Pour fresh ice-cold drinks straight from a Rambler® 64 oz Pitcher or a rugged Rambler® 64 oz Bottle. If you’re cracking open a couple of cold ones, our Rambler® Colster® Can Insulator with a No Sweat™ Design keeps your drink crisp and hands dry. For serving up hot dishes, choose our double-wall vacuum, stainless steel Rambler™ Insulated Bowls.

Cookware: Drop a pre-seasoned YETI® Cast Iron Skillet or non-toxic and rust-resistant YETI® Carbon Steel Pan directly on top of the fire or grates for sears that get better and better with time.

Should I get a YETI® cool bag, cool box, or bucket for a BBQ?

Whether you get a YETI® cool bag, cool box, or ice bucket comes down to your party size and priority:

Cool bag: If you’re having a couple beers by the beach or heading down to the park for a light bite, a lightweight picnic cool bag is your best bet. Our heavy-duty Hopper® totes and Hopper Flip® cool bags offer MagShield access or Hydrolok™ zippers and ColdCell™ insulation, all wrapped in a soft but durable, leakproof DryHide™ shell for ultimate portability and comfort.

Cool box: For smoky cookouts at home or out in the wild with the whole gang, maximum durability and capacity is a must. Go for a YETI hard cool box, such as our over-engineered Tundra® 75 Cool Box or Roadie® 24 Cool Box, which boast serious PermaFrost™ insulation, military-grade DoubleHaul™ handles, and NeverFail™ hinge systems. With a wide selection of sizes, you can keep a full BBQ pack of meat fresh and ice-cold drinks flowing.

Ice bucket: If the main focus is keeping the chef cool and hydrated, a dedicated BBQ bucket, like the Rambler™ 7.6L Beverage Bucket, is key. With its double-wall vacuum insulation and non-slip rubber bottom, it’ll keep a six-pack frosty even right next to the coals. Everybody else can take from the YETI Tank® 45 Insulated Ice Bucket, the Rambler™ is for the MVP.

Can you put a YETI® skillet on a barbecue?

Absolutely. The YETI® Cast Iron Skillet was expertly crafted to handle the live fire of an open flame barbecue as well as a home cooker. It retains and balances high temperatures seamlessly to give your steaks, burgers and sides an even, restaurant-quality sear over the grates while keeping them juicy and tender.

(H3) How do I clean YETI® BBQ storage boxes?

How you clean your YETI BBQ storage boxes depends on the type of storage box you have. We know nobody wants extra chores after a long day of grilling and socialising, that’s why we’ve made the clean up easy for every storage container.

Food containers: Our YETI® Food Storage containers are 100% dishwasher-safe. Built from BPA-free, ultra-tough 50% recycled plastic, they handle the cleanup cycle as easily as they handle being tossed into a cooler picnic setup.

Cool boxes: For our hard cool boxes, a simple mix of warm water and dish soap does the trick. If there’s a stubborn bit of grime, hit it with a scrubbing brush (or a high-pressure sprayer if you’ve got a Roadie® Cool Box). Just remember to leave the drain plug out to let it air-dry completely before storing it closed.

Cool bags: You can simply hose your Hopper® Soft Cooler inside and out to clean it. Every so often, you can wipe it down with mild dish soap and warm water before rinsing with fresh water. For tougher stains, use a gentle scrubbing brush. Dry the inside with a cloth and leave that Hydrolok™ zipper wide open and upside down for a few days to make sure it’s completely dry before you pack it away.

Ice buckets: This depends on the build. If you’re rocking the Rambler™ 7.6L Beverage Bucket, both the stainless steel bucket and lid are 100% dishwasher-safe. For the larger, armoured YETI Tank® 45 Insulated Ice Bucket, give it the same treatment as our hard cool boxes with warm soapy water and a good air dry.
